Online status check says - Fingerprints Taken and are pending review.

Checked my spouse's online status. It says:

Current Status: Fingerprints Taken

On March 20, 2002, the fingerprints for your I485 APPLICATION TO ADJUST TO PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS were collected and are pending review.


This is exactly what the AVM used to play, but I was expecting it to say "processing resumed" when I checked the status online..but no luck.

Is this a problem? Should I talk to an IIO?

Did anybody with the same issue get their approval?

What does it say in your case

Did your spouse do Manual FP, if so that may be the reason for the delay. because then it goes thru Snail Mail. to FBI and from there to INS VSC.

485sub, I've the same/similar status as yours. I guess that is usual for pending cases which are not yet assigned to an officer.

For me it says "Fingerprint Processing Complete-Non-Ident "
Mine was computerised FP whereas my spouse's was manual.
But this was back in March'02, so even if went through snail mail it should have been to INS (from FBI) by now.

Non - Indent means that your FP is OK and not Identifiable with any FBI records.

Like I thought your spouse did have Manual FP, and hence the delay, but you dont have to worry, You can call FBI and ask them about your spouses FP status and they should be able to tell you, the Status and also on what date the results were sent to INS

Same Issue as 485sub

My 485 details:
RD 10/1/2001
ND 11/19/2001
FP 03/06/2001
EAD 02/15/2002

I have the same issue. My spouse's FP was electronic and mine was manual . Our FP was done on March 6th. The avm has been giving me this message since then that "Finger Printing results collected on March (some date) and pending review"..exactly the same message as yours and my spouse's, it says that "Finger Printing Results received and processing resumed".

I also checked with FBI around May and they said that they have already sent the results to INS and then I called IIO around the same time and they said they have received the finger prints, but they did not say more than that.

Thats it....I am waiting for the October cases to get approved and I should be calling them in Oct end if its not yet approved. Any feed back is appreciated.
