Online status changed -- Issued RFE

I checked my I485 status and it's changed! They have issued an RFE.

Does anyone know who usually receives the RFE letter? Me or my lawyer?

I have changed my employer and the lawyer... I hope they will send it to my new lawyer if they are only sending it to the lawyer, not to the applicant.

Also, how much time do they normally give to reply the RFE?

Can I get married this time and apply follow-on for my spouse?

Yes yes. do it quick!!! It would become complicated and take even longer (than the time you have waited for yours) for your spouse to get GC after your approval.
 
new H1b is better to bring spouse

HI rkara - I am wondering why do you want to do follow to join.

try this option
1) apply for a new H1 and bring her on H4 and then include your wife into your I-485 stage.

I am in similar situation as your and I applied for a new h1b.
I did not do h1b transfer.
 
Hi rkara,

Can you post your details such as 1st FP date, 2nd FP date, EAD renewal etc. I am also in wac02084 series. I scanned this series just now. No significant movement. Only one more person other than you was issued RFE on 19th March. 2nd FPs have almost stopped.

Hope to see more activity for Jan'02 cases.

I really meant adding spouse to my I-485 application... not follow on.

Will there be any problem in it after they issued RFE?

I hava a valid H1 and I never used EAD.

Ist FP -- April 2002
2nd FP -- Aug. 2003
I didn't renew EAD since I wasn't using it.
