Online Status - Big Bogus

The online status thing seems to be a big bogus. I check the online status and there is no change for a long time. I called up (800) NUMBERS and they repeat the same thing.

I went to an BCIS office for an EAD. (I will be writing my experience soon) and i was told

I HAVE AN RFE. The online status doesnt indicate anything.

SO, DO NOT RELY ON THE CASE STATUS ONLINE.

Did u go for Interim EAD? Were you rejected because you an RFE issued.. Please post your experience soon as it will help us all

Thanks my FRIEND for writting such an excellent summarry of what happened... I am sorry to see that you did u get I-EAD after such a big fight..

i am going to be in the same shoes soon.. i am planning on going for I-EAD at Newark..

I do have following issues with my application

1. An RFE for address confirmation.> responded on June 6th
2. Do not have I-765 notice of action form.. Lost in MAIL.. But I do have a cancelled check and my EAC number to trace from..

Do know what WILL HAPPEN :) will post my experience soon
 
Online Status finally changed

I am as excited as getting my GC. Finally the online status has changed.

Did you go to Newark. I dont think you will have a problem without I-765 receipt. You can take that as an excuse to go there.
Worst case, they will ask you to come back when you have it .

  • Take a couple of I-765 apps typed in - u get fillable forms on bcis.gov
  • Take I-485 notice
  • Original EAD Card + copies
  • Personal Check Book.
