As some of you might remember I had AOS interview in Santa Ana, CA in mid-February & my case is pending for FBI name check. Today I received an email from USCIS & said I-130 has been approved:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On March 9, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

Then I went to uscis.gov & tried to check my I-485 status but this was what I got:

The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

Is I-130 approved because of my FBI name check cleared? Or it has nothing to do with I-485?
I wonder if I should be worried or happy now

The I-130 approval is not important ignore that. It's the I-485 that matters...

I'm happy to tell you that you most probably cleared the name check and your I-485 is approved. Whenever you get that message for the 485, it means you'll get the approval email soon :)

The same thing happened to me... Congratulations :) I say you'll be holding the green card in exactly 11 days :)

OH REALLY?

I can't believe it! (Since I have the most popular last name - I'm Chinese and I guess there are at least 100M people sharing the same last name with me perhaps? :p )

We'll wait and see. Thanks!!
