online message: worried please advise

just today the message for my online case status changed to

On July 10, 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case.

We never received any request yet and this just changed today although it has time stamp for July 10th. What are they upto??

More worrying part is that my spouse's case status reads as

On May 28, 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case.

This also changed only today and the status was same, FP received blah blah since April of 2002. I am worried if we had missed some docs because we just changed our address July 1st and notified BSIC on July 3rd. There was no response received for our enquiries as well. Is this a trend for everyone who sent enquiries or did address changes?
 
I got the same message today.. saying they sent an RFE on May 10th... looks like the INS email system is screwing up - that is what my lawyer said... she got calls from a lot of them today with these kind of notices...

Ravisimi for the quick response, altleast knowing that I am not alone getting these weird messages is helpful. The irony is on one hand I was worried but on other happy to see atleast some movement on this Oct 2001 case.
 
Keep checking with your lawyer every week, if you see such messages, just to be sure that no RFE like document was ever sent to them and to also make sure that they don't sleep on such documents and put your in peril
 
Apart from this message people are getting all kinds of weird emails/responses from CIS. I got one saying they had sent me a Document based on the Approval and or Registration of this case (Pertaining to my 485 application) - I have yet to do my 2nd FPs so their updates are making no sense on many cases.
