The status for my wife's I-485 has changed to

"On August 18, 2003, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

Does this mean an RFE has been issued ?

My status is still the following:
"On June 11, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

1st FP 04 2003
2nd FP 06 2003

It means nothing

This question has been asked by several people in past. a notice like this generally means nothing. It probably means that they have received FP results and are acknowledging it. or it is a delayed entry that they sent you an FP notice.
