No it is not offered online you must travel to the closest center to take the test in person and the test is only valid for 1 year from the date on the Results paper.

I did my IELTS on March 2008, and that time, as I can recall the validity of IELTS was for 2 years. If so, Can I use that result to apply for Canadian PR?

Hi dear friend you want to know about CBIELTS.I have some information about CBIELTS. you can Listening & Reading on Computer.CBIELTS is s computer-based version of IELTS.
It is the same test as the present Pen and Paper test. Just delivered differently. It consists of Listening, Reading and Writing tests. The Listening and Reading test must be taken on the Computer. The Writing test can be taken either on computer or on Paper.
