Online EAD question "Current Immigration Status?"

I need help in answering Question "Current Immigration Status?" on the I-765 online application form to renew EAD.

My H-1 is no longer valid, I was laid off, currently working for Company B on EAD, I-485 still pending for almost 10 months. There's no option for "Adjustment of Status" in online application. I need to fill out the form today. So, I'd appreciate if someone can help me with this question.

¡°I-485 Pending" is enough.

You should write "I -485 pending".

"I-485 Pending" is not an option in the online I-765 application.

Some where in I-140 VSC thread i read Current Immigration Status column (on E-filing form since dropdown does not have AOS or pending I-485 ) you can leave blank. It was posted by user Snowbell. He called to enquiry number. If you search under his name you will get it.

Even you can call enquire number,

I strongly suggest you don't use online filing. It is much slower than mailing your applications to VCS directly. Please see my old post:

Hi,

My EAD renewal is approaching, I have an EAD and Valid H1B Visa too.

What should I write in Col. 15 of EAD Form ?

My wife doesn't have H4, she only have EAD Card.

You would write H1B if you have maintained H1B status by working for the H1B sponsoring employer.

She would write "pending AOS" (assuming she has filed the I-485 and her EAD is based on it).
