My EAD is expiring on 8/13/2004. To expedite the process, I applied for iEAD and had following issues.

First time I field iEAD on 04/19/04 around 10. 00 PM and using bank account for payment method. When I tried to submit my application, Instead of getting a confirmation page, I got a message

Submit Application Status: Your application was not processed completely. To check the status of your application, please contact the National Customer Service Center at 800-375-5283 after 48 hours".

Considering that there may be some glitch, I resubmitted my application on 04/23 and this time I used my credit card for payment, No luck there too, I got the same error message. I then checked my bank account and credit card activity statement and looks like both of them have charges of 120 $. I have been calling 1800 number but no help from them, they are tier 1 support and I have received different response from customer service every time I call them

Customer Service responded that Tier 2 will call me and tell me what happen to my application.
Customer Service responded and said that if your account is charged then your application is also submitted and I should wait for 30 day in order to receive the LIN number. I am so puzzled, what should I do. I am trying to call them everyday and everyday, I am talking to some one who has no idea what the real problem is. Please suggest me. Should I file it by mail, and request the Credit Company to stop payment. Folks please advise me. Thanks you

EAD Online Application problem

I too have the same problem

I tried two different credit cards and got the same message you explained

I am waiting to see the charges in both credit card statements.

My experience was on 29th of April. I did not even bother calling INS Service center as they would never be able to help with anything.

I am waiting to see when both these charges hit my credit card and then figure out what to do.

what a mess!!.

will keep you posted if I get lucky to get a meaningful response from INS 1 800 Number

Ok guys, Finally got a call from INS. Here is what they said.
Apparently there are two application running at the same time. one that takes your information and other one that does processing of CC. INS was experiencing problem with the application, but the credit card application was working fine. you should check your account, charges appear within a week. INS agent told me that they will refud me by check for my charges in a week or so. But they have recommended me to apply via mail.

I called 1-800 just about everyday until they got back to me. SO i would recommend every one to call and aleast get your refund.

I am going to apply via mail now.

Ginnu, what all documents are requried to apply via mail. I would like to apply for my family and my self. Thanks -

How could you get refund?I have the same problem: charged twice, one with the same error message as yours, and the other with a successful application. I called the INS customer service, and I was told that they have no way to refund me, and the incomplete application will go to die and nowhere to track.
