Online courses and F1

hi everyone
I am an F1 visa holder currently enrolled full time in a program. I am looking for a transfer to another university in Michigan due to family reasons. It will be difficult for me to attend formal courses at any university for about 5-6 months. Is it possible for me to transfer and enroll and take up only online courses? Will my F1 be vaild if I take up only online courses? Are there any other ways to maintain my F1 visa status for atleast one semester till I am able to commute between my home and university?

i am on f1 visa in USA since last 6 months. according to a document i received which contains instructions for f1 students, a student can only register for 1 online course per semester.

in this case your course load is much less than the required course for the year for full time F student. However if your university have dual mode online and on site course, you can get permission for this semester to keep your F1 intact.
