Online BCIS check

Hi,

I applied for my I-140 4 months back.

My online status check still says "Status for this receipt number cannot be found at this time.........". I never got an I-140 receipt except that my EAC number was written on the back of cashed check. My attorney says he has seen these kinds of cases before and not to worry.

Is anyone in this group ar in similar kind of situation? Has anyone who was in similar kind of situation got I-140 approved?

How to check BCIS online status

What is the website for checking online status for I-140/I-485/EAD etc.???

What do I need to provide? EAC number ???

You need the receipt number of your case from the receipts you must have received. Alternatively if you sent personal checks, try to see the back side of encashed checks to see your receipt number

I know my employer is not going to give me the receipt number.
But ya, i can check the back side of the cheque.

Another questions is:
My employer pays for my EAD only and I sent a cheque for EAD of my wife. Will the receipt number be the same for me & my wife?
