my current H1 visa stamping in my passport (with company A)expires in oct 2003 and also I-94 from the POE in my passport (when I re-entered US in 2001) expires in oct 2003.

however, I got an approval to work with company B (after I re-entered US in 2001) and the I-94 with the new approval expires in sept 2005.

If my understanding is correct, the I-94 (with company B approval notice that expires in sept 2005) supersedes the POE I-94. Is that correct?

Also, I heard that I can revalidate my H1 visa at St. Louis only within an year of my visa expiry or some like that...actually, I dont quite know abt this rule.

If I want to revalidate my visa at St. Louis, when should I do that? Within an year after my current visa stamping expires (in oct 2003) or within an year my POE I-94 expires (in oct 2003) or within an year of the I-94 that came with the H1 approval notice with company B expires (in sept 2005)?

any pointers to the INS/BCIS memo that addresses this issue is appreciated.
