One spouse citizen, how does the wife come to United states?

Currently me and the spouse is LPR, my wife is planning to go back to India and stay there without obtaining the citizenship and her REP will expire after 2 yrs. Say down the road we want to come to US, I as a citizen won't have problem entering United states, How would my spouse be able to visit united states if down the road we think of moving back? What kind of visa she will need? Can we apply for her green card once she is in the united states?

For 3 1/2 yrs on GC. Been in the US for last 8 yrs.

trust me dont take gc for granted.better safe than sorry!

Well it be more than 1 year, after 1 year we will be able to apply and then it could take 9months to an year and by then my daughter will be 12 yrs old and she may not adjust back home.
