one check or 4 checks

I am planning on filing concurrently soon for my wife and daughter (depends on when my N400 is approved).
Should I send one check(1010 + 355 + 600 + 355 =2320 ) or 4 separate checks (1010 +355 + 600 + 355) ?

Read somewhere here you can do either, but a point in favor of writing separate checks is that if there is a problem with the check or amount (too little or too much, etc), then they send back only that application related to the particular check, versus sending back the whole thing if you write one check.
