On TN considering family based green card

Hi, I'm a Canadian citizen on my fifth TN. My father has applied to naturalize after being a LPR for five years. He should be able to naturalize in another 3 to 4 months. I no longer want the insecurity of a TN. My employer is willing to sponsor me for an H1-B or green card, but we have trouble meeting the prevailing wage standard - I am a lawyer with a non-profit. If I opt to have my father sponsor me and try to stay on TNs until that green card is renewed, renewing each year, how likely is it that I will have a TN renewal denied?
 
Your TN will be denied once you've applied for a I-485. If you take the consular route, or if you renew your TN up until the point that you file for I-485, you will be fine.
