On TN and I-140 denied

I am Canadian on TN visa valid for another 9 months. My employer filed a I-140, but it is denied.
I wonder if I can extend my TN from within the US, since I have never filed I-485 that is officially request for status change to GC?
If this is going to be an issue what are my options?

You are still eligible to renew and enter US on TN, sicne you did not file I-485 (and it is dead in any event).
