"On-line status"

Dear immigration experts,

I received my receipt of I140 on July 18, 2002. But my case can not be found through on-line status system. I have checked it many times since two months ago but no success.

Some one are also in the same boad? Could any one give some good suggestion? Your input are appreciated.

How are you checking maybe you are making a mistake some where.

Enter it without dashes like EAC03008xxxxx,
otherwise call INS then check it whether it is correct or not?

Hi,

I indeed put EAC02249xxxxx but it said"status for this receipt number cannot be found....", I also call 802 527-4913 through 24 hours automated system and got the same answer.

Does any one have an experience to call Vermont INS? Can you tell other phone number which I can reach a representative? When is a good time to call? And some tips to talk?...

Any help are very appreciated.

the phone number for Vermont Service Center is
802) 527-4913, it seems busy all the time, but if you keep trying and get lucky, you can speak to the immigration officer eventually

Problem with Online System

Hi,

Online Status system is not very reliable! My wife's I-131 was approved on 12/11/02, and received by us but online system still shows them as not processed.
