On line status check

I had my interview in late March (no stamp on passport and was told i would get it in 10 days....yeah, right) When i check my case on-line, it shows my last update on October '05, which is when i received my notice for the interview. But when i click on the receipt number (is there an option for the MSC case numbers?), it doesn't make any reference to the notice for interview, it just shows the information that i got on a receipt notice in 2004 telling me that my fingerprints had been received. Since the fingerprinting and biometrics, I have renewed my work permit twice, gotten fingerprints and biometrics again after the initial ones expired, received the notice of interview and actually went to the interview. Shouldn't any of those be showing up as latest updates?

At the USCIS website, www.uscis.gov, you can check out the status online that just give you generals about it and not all the time is updated and not all the time all the receipts appear right away or appear with the time.

manoleto, don't worry about it. Yes, they should but not all the time they update all the cases. You should go to your DO so at least try that they stamp your passport.

Good luck,

Thanks guys. Just very frustrated with this whole situation. Total of almost 19 years i've been waiting, you'd think a few extra weeks would be a snap by comparison, but its been the opposite.

from my experience, online status has not been helpful for me at all. even after I have had my interview, nothing has been changed at all. the status still gives me the same thing that has been there for months. there was no change when i received my AP or when i received my interview letter, etc.. the date stills remains last year...
so i guess they don't necessarily update the online status for everyone. :)

Online case status is unreliable. Use InfoPass and meet an immigration officer. They are pretty good and answer most of your questions.
