On EAD retunring on H4 - Can I continue on EAD?

Me and my wife are travelling to India this month. I am on H1B Visa and my wife is currently working on EAD. EAD is valid until 08/2009. If we travel to India and I get my H1B visa stamped and my wife gets her H4 visa stamped. And then after returning to US, can my wife restart working on the original EAD that was issued and expiring in 08/2009?

I am asking this as our AP is expiring in a month and we have applied for the renewal just last week. I don't think we will receive the approved AP renewal before we leave for India.

Yes she can work with her EAD again.
