old selective serivce letter (2002 )

to b correct when i found out i had to register i wrote to SSS and they send me a reply , but that was back in 2002 . so,
is it okay if i take that letter with me or a need a newer one ... i mean a more recent date

i was suppose to register but i didnt cause i had no clue and i do understand that not a BIG issue i am just worried about the date on hte letter
