Old Immigration paperwork after citizenship

I was cleaning stuff out couple of weeks ago during Christmas and found lots of old immigration paperwork - all the way back to my asylum application. Its probably close to a thousand pages (wild guess). I dont have a commercial feeder scanner so scanning this one by one is not practical. Can anyone think of any practical reasons to keep all this paperwork? I was thinking of getting rid of it all. For context, its been almost 5 years since my citizenship.

Hmm, I'm always nervous about throwing away official documents without at least scanning them. But, I think most people do, and are completely fine. Your choice. Make sure you shred the important stuff, though. Or, burn it.
