Dear All,
In 2002 I applied for h1(b) visa through US embassy, chennai, India through drop box facility. I was not interviewed by the officer but my passport was returned with a letter saying it was rejected (reason 221(g)) and my case transfered to usa. No reason given in that. It was for a software job with one of the small consultacy company, who does body shoping for big companies. Now I have changed my career to accounts and I live in Dubai. Now one of the big company recruited me and filed my h1b on April 2.
Now though it is going to be a lottery system, what are the chances of getting rejected in the LCA stage and H1B stage.
If I get the approval I will apply for h1(b) to embassy in dubai. Do I have to declared the old 221(g)? What are the chances of getting another 221(g)?
My passport getting expired in May end and I will be applying for a new passport. Will it affect the chances of getting h1(b) or do I have to send the details to USCIS once I get my new passport.
