Hello,
I wish to sponsor my father for family based green card. One of the requirements for the application is a marriage certificate of my parents. However, their marriage certificate is almost in pieces and completely illegible. In this situation, what other ways are there to prove my parents were legally married at the time I was born? Will signed and notarized affidavits from relatives who witnessed their marriage suffice to prove this? I was thinking of getting 3 relatives to provide affidavits. Will that do? If anyone has been in this situation, can you share your solution?
Thanks a lot.
