We interviewed successfully at the SF district office of USCIS about 3 weeks back, my hubby received the Oath letter about 10 days ago, and I am still waiting for it, not sure when I'll receive it or what is going on with my file.

I voluntarily told the IO who interviewed me that I received a citation for speaking over the cell phone while driving, she thanked me for disclosing it and made a note of it in the application, she recommended approval and the citation is nothing, signed and dated my application, then she asked me if I wanted to take the oath along with my husband, I answered in the affirmative, she took a sticky to put on my application and told me that she needs to talk to the IO officer who interviewed my husband for scheduling our oath at the same time.

After all this, we came out happy, it's was a straight forward case and we both had passed easily. Well ...now, I don't know what happened to my file, probably it's sleeping in some corner, I still haven't received my oath letter? or is there some background verification before sending the oath letter?

Usually how long does it take to receive the oath letter after the interview, Is it advisable to speak to an IO after making an Info pass appointment? if I don't receive the oath letter before the oath ceremony on Dec 17th.

Please advise.

Schedule an Infopass to determine what happened with your letter. They can also reprint the oath letter if you haven't received it.
