Hi,

1) At the end of the interview if you are approved, will they give the Oath the same day if not I do understand that they may have to schedule one usually how much is the wait time to get the OL and the OD?

2) Any tips for the 101 W Congress Pwky office, Chicago ?

3) Also for a example Q as below, should we answer both or any one?

What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?
checks and balances
separation of powers

Should we answer both or any one?

Thanks,

Thanks,

There is plenty of parking available close to the building. Parking is about $12-$15. You have to go through airport-style security as you enter the building. Take the escalator to the 3rd Floor. There is a window for checking in. If you are appearing with your spouse, give both interview letters together, and they will give you a small printed card to ensure that your Oath Ceremonies are scheduled together. While checking in, they will tell you where to sit Area 1 or 2. Just sit in the waiting hall in the area assigned to you. Restrooms are available. Eventually you will have an interview officer call out your (or your spouse's) name. He will take you to his cubicle. First hand over the card for the Oath Ceremony (if appearing with spouse). Then he will interview you. If yours is a simple case, it should be over in 10-15 minutes.

In my case the IO looked up the schedule of Oath Ceremonies on the computer and asked me if the next one was convenient for me (about 1 week from the interview date). As I confirmed, he booked me for that date.

At the Chicago office they give you the Oath Letter immediately after the interview (if you are not changing your name). You will have to wait for about 30 minutes and they will call your name from the check-in window to give you your Oath Letter.
