I do not know how to say THANKS to all of you guys...I could not imagine how i would have passed this 28 months without this IMMIGRATIONPORTAL.COM. My hats off for this site and Rajiv S Khanna (Hero of this immigration community). Thanks to all the people, especially

I thought it would be little helpful to lot of people if i give my 485 story.
* Filled 485,EAD & AP for me and my wife on 01/28/2002 using
my friend address. Used non-availability certificate and
Affidavit from my parents for my Birth Certificate. Used
Marriage Certificate which we got from church. I am a
christian from India. We do not get MC from registrar.
* First EAD approved on sometime on June 2002. Card was
returned back to INS by post office, b'cos my friend had
informed the post office to return all the mails which
is not in his name, he forgot that i had used his
address. Then, i asked him to inform post office to deliver
all mails. Then, i called 1-800 number and told them that
post office returned my EAD mistakenly, so please re-post.
* For my wife AP, i got RFE asking Marriage Certificate. I send
the photo copy of that (Certificate from Church). Then, they
approved and send the document.
* Applied 2nd EAD using my own address, i went to San Jose
office and got iEAD. after that my EAD got approved. But
2nd EAD also returned by post office, i do not know the
reason. I used my address where i am staying. May be i
am not lucky to get EAD in single shot. Called 1-800 and
asked them to re-send, waited for 40 days, not reached.Unfortunately
i lost my contract and was looking for job. I am working in
a consulting company.
* I got a project in MA, the same time my friend sold his
house which address i was using for 485. I came to MA
on 25-AUG-2003 and called 1-800 and gave my CA another friend address.
Got the 2nd EAD to that new address, used that same address for
my pay stuff also. Fearing that if i used MA address, my case
will be transferred to MA.
* Applied for 3rd EAD myself and got it with 2 months in my friend
address.
* Got RFE on 03-MAR-2004 for me and my wife.
For me: EVL,W-2 for last 4 years, Pay Stuff.
For My wife: EVL (Primary applicant EVL - original), Marriage Certificate.
My wife is not working, but they have asked my EVL original. i got
2 EVL from my employer.For marriage certificate, they have mentioned
the below given text.
"Marriage certificate from CIVIL authorities. The one in file is from
religious authorities. The certificate must indicate that the marriage
was registered or recorded with the county, state, or country’s civil
authorities. If not in English it has to be translated."
I spoke to my parents and asked them to get the MC from civil authorities.
* Got 2nd FP notice and went to Boston ASC and told them that i am here
for temporary project assignments and i will go back to CA in 2 months.
They said ok and did my 2nd FP in Boston, the results reached in a week
to CA office. Since FP's are sent to FBI and FBI will send the results
based on your application number first 3 didgits, if it's WAC, they will
send the results to CA....So we can give FP anywhere if that ASC accepts.
Approved on 20-MAY-2004. Oh Man..What a relief?..Thanks to each and everyone. I will
pray for all the people and do not lose your hope, You will get your
approval soon.

Planning to go to Boston office for stamping. I thought of coming to San Jose for stamping, but after reading APUN_KA_GC post, i have decided to give it a try in Boston.
