Officer ask me divorce if you want to receive a visa

smith1988, Obviously there can't be an outcome from any of this, if you won't respond to messages yet simply repost previous information in different words. I trust your intentions are positive ones, are they?
 
This might sound like a strange question, but can the original poster confirm he only has one wife?
I come from a country where polygamy is allowed and I know that in these situations an applicant can only take one wife with as derivative. I can't for the life of me think of any other situation where a CO would tell someone to divorce before issuing a visa - ie to ensure that there can only be one DV2 per case - rather than just denying outright.

Excellent thought - certainly something we had not considered. Given that the original poster does not seem to respond well to questions, it will be interesting to see whether this will ever be figured out. However, polygamy indeed could be a rational explanation of CO's (reported) response...
