not this week I guess ...any way this week has been very productive, received lot of September approvals. Hope to see more postings over the weekend.

I hope to see some October approvals starting from next week ....:)

I have heard about
1. Parallel Processing from Sept 30 (Magesh_kk) for Oct/Nov/Dec
2.Annual Quotas -7000 for india...for yr ending sept30 (INS yr ending)
3.Pending Jul/Aug/Sep approvals and RFEs

which makes me believe that October'01 will be taken up only in the first week of October..(after sept 30 ..INS yr end).INS will be working right now on clearing the Backlog...

I hope.....
 
Quotas for Countries??

Are there quotas for EB petitions??!!! Where could we find information on the quotas for individual countries. Thanks in advance for any information you could provide.

If you look at the website http://www.travel.state.gov/ there they show annual quotas for each category and also country. But how they actually do it, I have no clue. The number i had quoted was by reading one of posts..which said that for India it is usually about 7000 immigrant visas are issued. This figure may be an approximate number...
