Called National number to try to convince for my FP notice. I was told,
"If you did not get FP notice, that does not mean something is wrong. Processing can happen out of order........."

I'll request Oakland center to take my finger print. I know the answer, but I'll try anyway, what the hack...

I faxed not using the regular form but a politely worded letter requesting and indicating that my 1st was done 21 months back.

Two weeks later they called and left a very courteous message saying, that they are issuing FP's for people in your time frame. So yours should be soon.

A couple of days latter, We received our 2nd FP notices.

May be it is a coincidence. But I would request to fax (level1 and later level 2) an letter to them.

Don't know how much faxing helps. Tried that and was sent a note saying wait your turn. When we get to you, we will get to you, till then SHUT UP! But like I always say, no harm trying. :)

I considered your suggestion. But, then I decided not to bug USCIS about my case. As I saw people getting approvals quickly after 2nd FP, I will wait until my wife's I-485 is approved. I hope it will be approved by the end of August. After that, I'll start pounding them with faxes.

Reason for this decision is that, if I start bugging them, and if they really send 2nd FP notice to me, then they might bundle my wife's case with mine. I think, my FP will take quite long time to clear, because I am from a Special Registration country, and I have very common name. In fact, when first list of suspicious names was published, Citibank thought my name is on the list, so they asked me to send photocopy of my passport, otherwise they will cancel my credit card.
