Hi Guys,
       I am still waiting for my approval.

       PD - 09/28/1998
       RD - 10/04/1999
       ND - 10/13/1999
       FP - 03/08/2001
       RFE for Employment Letter Issued by INS - 06/13/2001
       RFE Recieved and Acknowledged by INS - 07/02/2001
       Just waiting since then..Wrote to the Senator and Congressman
       a month ago. Got acknowledgements from them that they
       are looking into my case and that it would take 4 to 6 weeks
       for them to get back to me on this issue. It has been 765 days
       days since the receipt of my I-485 application and around 130
       days since the reciept of my RFE. I spoke to IIO 3 to 4 times
       so far and have got different answers. I have left everything
       to God. I Wish everybody good luck on this message board.

Hi rc_12,

I periodically check into this board, only to see if your case has been approved or not...I can\'t believe that INS is taking this much time to process your case...Hope the Senator and/or Congressman you are in touch with, would help out...

I hope and pray that your case along with other 99ers (whose cases
are transferred to Arlington, VA and NYC INS) get approved really
really soon...

This is so unfair to you

First of all they took a long time to get to your case and now after RFE they are taking even longer.
What are the IIO\'s telling? atleast are they recognizing that this has been unfair to you>

I\'m still waiting too (RD: 9/99). I haven\'t gotten in touch with a Senator or Congressman yet, as I got an RFE (for employment letter). I am hoping that this helps move things along!

its been a waiting game, the worst part is AVM does not even reflect the receipt of
RFE which was sent 6 weeks back.... :(((((

Hi $ivaveera,

Did you call an IIO and enquire if they received your RFE reply?

Also, you can re-send your RFE reply provided you or your attorney
have a copy of the original RFE...

If I remember correctly, there was a user (userid "dan dan" please
search on this userid) who had a similar situation, and decided to
re-send the RFE reply...please look up his/her post and see what
he/she did...just in case, if you want to re-send the RFE reply...

But, first I suggest that you contact an IIO and see what they say...

i did call IIo

my lawyer had contacted VSC and they said its assigned to an officer and will
take 4 weeks to decide on this case.in fact my lawyer had to attach my approved amended I140 to this RFE(VSC issued me RFE before my amended I140 got approved.
thats sad)
but i did call IIO twice both the time they said they do not have the receipt, but i do
beleive in my lawyer cause they are good its only my case which is stuck.
and if i call IIO my file keeps getting transferred to different officer and i loose time

srini i read dan dan case, he never got his RFE mail, INS resent it .
my case is i sent it and they did not receive it
so i thought i will wait for 60 days as per RFE notice and then resend it again.

ND 1/00, interview in Baltimore in 4/01. They sent me an RFE after the interview questioning the about witheld tax that was not paid by the employer to the state. Sent reply, still waiting.

Just to give you some comfort.
