Thank all.
I did contact a congresswomen back in last Nov. That was the reason why I had 2nd FP and 3rd FP in three months span. When I contacted the congressional office, I was told that NSC was processing AUG 01 case, there was nothing they can do for me. Then I asked at least they could check why I was not getting 2nd FP notice, since my 1st FP was long expired. So they did and told me that my case was pending because FBI clearance has not come back yet, and NSC sent me 2nd FP notice right away, me alone, not wife's. I guess that FP notice was nothing but a nice gesture from NSC to congressional office, since soon, both of us received FP notices again. I think that is because our FBI clearance finally back. Also, NSC told congressional office that since FBI is so slow in getting back to them on name check, they now only issue FP notice upon receiving FBI clearance for those whose FP expired.
Hope all these helped.
