OCI-NY not even acknowledged

Hi Guys

I sent application on 17th June it reached there on 19th June. (Tracked from receipt of USPS).

However I did not receive green receipt from them.(USPS receipt) and the status on the site is still this application not yet acknowledged.

I see all other people have at least their application acknowledged in 3 weeks.(based on NY-CGI tracker). I want to make sure that they at least are working on it.(acknowledgement).

I sent them faxes and emailed but no response. How should I be able to get ahold of them and find about the status?(at least acknowledgement??)
Please advise.

I think you should give it 5-6 weeks from mailing date especially considering the number of Govt holidays in US and India!! these months. Trying to contact them is useless till at least a couple months have passed.
Once the ACk happens, things move v fast.

Go through the last couple of pages of OCI tracker of NY Consulate... some people emailed to CG and it worked for them.... you can try what dhari1 and vj1234 did and read through their experiences... their post numbers are #488 and #489... read through all their posts.

I emailed at that address..lets see what happens.

I emailed to CG and see that they forwarded it to some other email addresses.
Nothing yet. see same not acknowldeged

You will eventually get.

I had similar experience (noted elsewhere) but finally got it in ~2.5 months.
