We applied for My father in law OCI here in Chicago USA and even after couple of month when we didnot heard from them and after they closed the processing in October. My father in law left to india on Entry Visa and he plans to saty there as he developed some medical condition and want to treat it there. In the mean time the OCI scrren says now that Chicago Consulate received their OCI documents from India but we have not received the notice from them as yet. And my father in law would not be coming back for another few months i think. Is there any way to get the OCI in india. Do some body has some knowldge or experience how that will work. Here no body is replying. In case he has to come back as he already has the visa we can cask him to apply in India as it will cheaper then he coming back here. Any Suggestions. Thanks
