Always follow the instructions posted on the website of your local consulate. I am assuming you come under the San Francisco consulate. All documents should be submitted in duplicate. The instructions on their website state that you are supposed to submit a TOTAL of 3 passport size photographs. One photograph pasted to Part A of your application. One photograph pasted to the duplicate of Part A and an extra photograph attached with a paper clip. The photographs should not be stapled and should not have any signature.

Thanks for all your help. I have one more question. I read the instructions and i went to the photo studio to take 6 pics. They used a red background for the image will that cause problems.

I am afraid they might reject the application.

YEs i am going to use the San Francisco center.

Thank you.

The normal photo studio pictures(without any colored background) will work just fine. If you have followed the instructions/guidelines posted on the consulate website, then you will be okay.

Also, to reiterate, TOTAL of 3 photographs is what is required(not 6).
