OCI application - Granted

Dear all,
We submitted our OCI applications on 06 May 2011, friday. On monday morning 09 May 2011the photo / signature were scanned and on the same day afternoon the registration status changed to 'Granted'. But since then there has been no movement. We were so surprised that the application submitted on 06th may was granted on 09th may. But today being 20th may the document printing has still not happenned. In the website they say that if the document is not printed within a week of status granting we should submit new photographs, but looking at these websites there seems to be some delay and people have got their documents printed several days after the OCI was granted. I am so confused as i dont want to submit something that isnt required and delay my application. I tried contacting OCI through phone but none seems to pick up and no responses to emails either. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

There are number of threads open for this. Printing happens in Delhi and it's heavily backlog. Please wait atleast for two months I would say. There are cases where OCI granted since middle of April and has not printed...
 
Thanks very much for your prompt response. It is nice when somebody bothers to respond as opposed to the guys in HCI :)
Yes we will wait, am a bit desperate as we are planning for a trip to India. I guess we have to go for the Visa option. However am worried if we take a visa and travel, what would happen if the OCI has arrived here. I guess we need to collect it within few weeks.

-------------- you can get Visa if OCI is pending and can collect OCI after you come back to US.
I guess we need to collect it within few weeks.

--------------------- FYI New York Consulate has about 5000 OCI printed and with them. Few days back they gave the Advt in Local papers that Please collect your OCI. I dont know the reason why many dont have Collect OCI.
