Hi,

One of US Citizen ( retired semi-government employee ) is planning to file for OCI card and right now he is getting pention in India. Is it legally ok to get pention in India after becoming US citizen?

Please suggest.

He is getting the pension for the service he did with government of India or other department in India. He can apply for OCI and getting pension is not a problem.

I agree, Based on my understanding you can continue to receive pention for you past service in India. You need to report that income when you file Tax in the US ......
