There's no need to cry Kashmir. During my time here waiting for I485, I have had two family members passed away unexpectedly. I could not go back to visit my family in time of grief. I have also had job offers I had to turn down because of my status and annoyances while travelling through other countries with all the documentations I had to take. My passport is also about to expire and I have no way to renew it unless my I485 becomes adjudicated.

I made this point to the Ombudsman. At the very least, I would like to make sure that no immigrants who come after me will suffer what I have gone through.

Dallas District I-485 Pilot Program

Dallas District I-485 Pilot Program looks like the implementation of Khatri's idea.

Your idea is really great to new I-485 applicants.
On the other hand, there are hundreds of thousands of I-485 applicants
having been already waiting for OVER 2 YEARS like me !!

a couple of weeks ago.

Your proposal looks a revolutionary approach, but I believe it looks
very reasonable and efficient, too.

Also, it is similar to our settlement proposal #4 item in a certain meaning.
Please read our settlement proposal, especially #4 item:

4. With immediate effect, once the I-485 has been pending for 180 days,
the applicants should receive approval of the green card - there being
no further evidence of employment required - evidenced by a stamp
on the passport valid for five years, subject to revocation only
on national security grounds. this approval should be given on a
walk-in basis in an orderly manner and would carry with it all rights
and privileges of Lawful Permanent Residence (green card),
including commencement of the time required for naturalization.
Except that for "following to join" purposes, the date of approval
will be deemed to be the date the final approval (after security checks)
is granted. Service must make sure that the approval stamp is accepted
internationally as evidence for travel purposes or provide a card or
other evidence that would be so accepted.


Could you please talk to our attorney Rajiv Khanna about our settlement
proposal, then discuss with USCIS about its implementation ?
