OCD anyone ?

Just curious, how often do you check the USCIS online case status to see if there are any changes ? Once a week, more than once a week, once a day, whenever you remember? Have you now developed an OCD (obsessive, compulsive dissorder) over it ???

No, but you may have and hence the question.

Not yet... I just did my FP yesterday, so there seemed very little point in checking...

I am in for a long wait though because of the DO I'm in... :(

So I may well have OCD when all is said and done in the end.... :o

of course not...

Hey,

Sure I check immigration.com frequently..(not the online status..gave up on that some time ago after knowing they dont change it for some even after they get their citizenship)..

But I am just curious..not OCD:))

Chill out I am waiting since 04/07 and stuck in name check..give it some time before starting to get paranoid:)

Take care

Completely. I wouldn’t say it was OCD, simply because I don’t have to check. I’m just so excited/nervous that it’s all I am thinking about.

I don’t have a case number yet. So I have to use other means to track my progress. First, I started with checking the USPS package tracker (they received it Thursday night). Then it was my online banking (my check cashed last night). Next up? My mailbox. Otherwise I have been trying to educate myself.

You are about a month ahead of me. I only applied last Wednesday (07/16/08), but my D/O is Milwaukee. They seem faster than some…

I’m looking forward to getting my case number because then I have a central place to check my progress.

As the weeks go on, I should mellow out. Right now, I'm in (obsessive) learning mode! :)

yes i do the OCD stuff like i sip water a certain amount of times or other crazy stuff i dont need to mention. but i never in immigration turned OCD. i do have to say immigration folks r bi-POLAR no doubt about it! i check all day i even call them hang up and call back just cuz i didnt like the wayCSR sounds! im getting pissy about it.. its been too long for them not to give the IL..actually OCD would be like u thinking u have to go run and check the site or they will take a month longer. like u have to turn ur pillow a certain way while sleeping or they will deny ur case. like u having to skip cracks on the side walk or they will put ur case in a backlog.

Oh I hear ya, I was the same... Checked everything I could after mailing my app, checked my bank account every day to see if it had been cashed... and so on... Have to say this site has made a huge difference for me :)

I got home at 11 p.m. last night. Ran out to check my mail... Ah, nothing yet!

I love this site. It's nice to hear about other people's experiences. And to see their time lines! It's amazing how different they can be. I wish there were more reports from Milwaukee though!

Please do not rely on online status. It is unrealiable and meaningless. Please stay away from it. Do not spend too much torturing yourself.

Try to enjoy your life. Perhaps take a vacation or set up the BBQ party, visit friends, focus on your work, go dating, watch a movie, etc.. Take it easy. You are already a green card holder. It will take time for USCIS to process. It is bureaucracy.

If you want to know the status, it would be best to contact customer service or set up infopass appointment.
