Is the Oath Delay considered Backlog too ? I mean so many of us are right there ..... the only thing that is left to take the Oath but when we were told for example 3-4 expected Oath Letter and nothing can this have anything to do with the Backlog ?

I remember for a while there used to be at least once a day a thread that there is a new US Citizen or someone recieved a Oath Letter and now I hardly see that on here anymore.

I know I should not let this drive me crazy but it is easier then done. After my FP back in 06 I told myself ok, stop running to the mailbox as soon as the mailman comes or you going to drive yourself crazy and I did that and all of the sudden in August the Interview Letter completely unexpected arrived.

But now, since it is so close to being a US Citizen it is so hard for me to sit back and not go nuts

LOL

As the number of successful candidates who are awaiting an oath date increase, so does the time in scheduling these oaths (more applications=longer to schedule oath). This is not to say they don't have enough oath dates available, but rather that it is taking longer to schedule them due to the backlog.

An addition to my previous post. The ones who seem to be naturlized lately get the same day Oath .... not everyone but most !

You're right Ladybuggy and bobysmith. It's hard not to run to your mail. I check my mails like crazy thinking something will happen. This wait is even worse than expecting my professional exam result. I thought that was worse until i hit USCIS wait time.

i missed my oath date. so i sent a letter explaining why i didn't show up. how long does it takes to reschedule another date. i don't live in nyc now, and i have a friend who is checking the mailbox for me. so im afraid he may not open the mailbox in the right time. any one knows if there is a way you could know if they send thew letter before it arrives in the mailbox so u can anticipate its arrival.please i need quick answer. look to my timing down and u understand my anxiety. how many days usually between the date u recieve the oath ceremony letter and the oath date
