i had passed the citizenship interview in San Francisco field office on August 05,2010, but i have not received my oath letter yet?
i was told that i would receive the oath letter via mail in one month by the immigration officer at the end of interview.
dose anyone have same problem with delay oath?
please advise........
what am i going to do next?

thanks

i went to the 2nd floor and waiting there about 30 mins, then my name was paged on the phone and the officer wanted me to wait for her near evelator. when i got there, a mid-aged woman opened the door and called me into her office for interview. before i sat down, i needed to swear before her, then she asked me to sit down and wanted to see my green card and passport.
she went through the N-400, and asked me if anything need to be changed, i said No. then she asked me the three us history, and i answer the question correctly, and she wanted me to write one sentence. also, she reminded me that the traffic citation which i mentioned on the application, and wanted to know what kind of citation i had, that's all.
at the end, i signed the photos and N-400, then she approved my application and told me that i will received the oath letter in one month.
we said have a great day to each other.

Congratulations!!! Did you know the officer? It seems as if most people who rather have your officer, 3 questions and one sentence...lol!!!

i don't think so that the local field office will update the system after your case has been transfered for interview.

Hi Sagoo.

What is date for your permanent residence starts? If you don't fullfill 5 years requirement might be cause the delay.I am on the same position based on my interview date.

Best Regards.

Guys,

Remember that if you applied based on either 3 or 5 years, and your interview is scheduled prior to the 3 or 5 year anniversary, your approval might not be done until after you meet the anniversary. Hence, people are frustrated by having to wait to hear from USCIS officers about whether your case has been approved and when you can expect to hear from them on your oath ceremony. IMO, this is caused by people who are too eager to complete the N400 process. For example, people are scheduled for FP for September 28th, 2010, but upon receiving the notice on Sept 8th, 2010, they go for FP the next day, and thereby somehow speed their application.

hi sago2010,

have you received your oath letter already? I took my test (also here in SF) and passed it on august 31, but until now i haven't received any letter. just like you the officer who interviewed me said expect a letter after a month? do you know when the next oath ceremony? if after 2 months and still no letter, should i get an infopass and make inquiries about it?

Yes, make an info pass and also mail a letter addressed directly to the interviewing officer. As part of this two-prong strategy, take a copy of the letter with you to the info pass. If I were you, would mail the letter to them on tomorrow, make an info pass on Sunday for the following Monday of 18 or 19, so that they can have a week to review and respond to my letter. Also, upon showing up for the info pass appt, show them that letter and ask for a response.

No, i did not receive the oath letter yet. i made an infopass and went to local CIS today, and the IO kept saying that you are in the oath waiting lists, you will receive the oath letter soon.
no idea now.

thanks sago2010 for the info. i will wait for 2 more weeks then i will get infopass. i called up uscis customer service and they said i have to wait for 90 days only then can i make inquiries about my status. i don't know.....when you made infopass did the IO ask you how long have been waiting? keep me posted when you get your letter. i hope we'll make it in the next oath ceremony.

Oath dates In SF

Hi All.

If these dates are real dates for oath ceremonies in SF,some of you waiting for long time should start seeing oath letters in mailboxes sometime this week.

I doubt next week will probably be late for Oath letters for oath ceremony to be on 10/20.

My wife is also waiting, but she got N-652 with decision to send in the mail, her interview was 9/22. Though the interview was straightforward we are just keeping fingers crossed, hoping for oath letter to show up. I will update as soon we have one, but I think it will be after some of you who are waiting for 5-6 weeks now.
