Oath Completed US passport Applied !!! Long Immigrtion Journey Ended !!!

Finally my long immigration journey has ended this moning. Oath ceremony took only couple of hours & at the end was given that precious naturalization certificate. Feeling bad to give up that GC but guess in order to get something bigger you have to gve up something !!!!!! Just kidding !!! Man I'm excited. I'm a proud US citizen now. I didn't wait any longer. My US pssport form that I alreay completed last night was turned in right after the oath ceremony at a US post office. Now just have to wait for that passport to arrive at my mail box.

Thanks Cl_Asylee. You all are simply awesome. I will never forget when I went through all them rough times & all you forum members comfort me big time. I don't want to mention all them names cause you all mean a whole lot more than just names. God bless all. People that are still waiting for your turn just don't worry you all will end your journey like mine soon. My deepest prayer for you all my brothers & sisters.

GOSH I WANT SO MUCH THE NEXT year.:(.i want to be citizen too...i have a calendar like the people in jail counting the days..lol....:rolleyes:

I've been thinking about you in the last few days and was looking forward to seeing this thread. My most sincere congratulations to you! You finally got the ultimate freedom. I remember myself what a relief it was to exchange my GC, which I waited forever to receive, like most asylees from the 90s for something bigger and better! I'm very happy for you! :cool:

Are prepared to file you N-400? :) I'm really looking forward to seeing you posting a similar thread - your personal example (filing WOM) and courage saved me form insanity a few yerars ago when I was on the verge of a breakdown while waiting for my GC. :)

Thanks cody, Good luck with your application. Now processing time has improved significantly. Mine took less than 3 months from the day I sent my application till oath.

:) .... i'm so happy for u ..... we have shared our struggle.... 've recieved comfort from each other ... 'have chatted for years now.... it looks awesome when one of us get feathers to fly out of the nest.... all the best.....
