Oath Ceremony Re-schedule process/tips anyone?

Folks,
A series of unfortunate events lead me to miss my Oath Ceremony on July 29th in SF. Now what? I called the customer service. They asked me to wait for a no-show letter from USCIS and respond to that letter with explanation for no show. After they receive that, they will give me a new date in next 60 days.
I also took an InfoPass appointment with SF office on August 11th.
Any other ideas? Should I just walk-in to the USCIS office and talk to them about this situation? Should I just show up at the next oath Ceremony in SF with the hope that they might have carried forward my appointment?

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

As a proactive measure, you can also send USCIS a letter with a copy of your N-445 indicating that you were unable to attend the oath as planned and are requesting it to be reschedueld.

That sounds like the best plan to me.
