11.45 was my infopass apointment, becaue of traffic hurdle, I reached there around 12. But got a token/ticket and went to the room, waited for like 2 hours for them to call my number(already the room is filled with people) and the officer told me they made a mistake about my number . then I had to go to a different room and then they called me. The officer told me that they are still waiting for the security clearence to be done. I asked them how long that is going to take. She was like it could take may be 5 years.

why cant they have phone numbers atleast? made a trip just to hear that simple sentence

this is great

anyother federal plaza experience please post

Well, I had an appointment a few weeks ago and it was a complete waste of time  .

I went early, my appointment was at 8 am and I got there on time, I took the subway, and there were two other people in the waiting room and they did not realize that there were numbers above the window and they missed their turns, (they realized this after I got up and went to the window when my number came up), The officer was mean, rude, just nasty and she got an attitude with me and said "Goodbye." She was ever more nasty to the people that missed their turn, she said you missed your appointment you have to reschedule. It was really uncalled for because there were no other people there.

This is suppossed to be more efficient...

Infopass is really not very useful. Not because the officers don't want to help but because they really don't have the answers you want to hear. And if you think from their angle, getting the same question thrown at them does kind of get a little frustrated. I understand that it is their job and they should not get distracted by questions - silly or not. But after all, they are human too.

Regardless what the reasons are, the fact is that Infopass is totally useless.
