NVC/Chennai mail delay - Interview likely in FEB/MARCH

Possible Interview date..

Guys
I want to get interview date in May/2002. When do U think
I need to mail my Pkt-3 so that I can get my interview
scheduled in Chennai in the month of May..

NVC had approved my I-824 in the month of November/2001.

From my attorney I got my 1-797 I-140 approval notice, I-140 petition copy and labor filing copy. Do we need any additional docs for anthrax affected cases?

Hi, I got my P4 at local address.

They have put the same birth date (mine) for both me and my wife in the appointment letter. Could this be a problem? What should I do to correct this?
It specifically asks for I797 and 140 petition.

I do not think it is a problem at all. But you need to correct her
biographic data on their system before they issue her GC. You can
call Chennai and do this. This is my openion.

I need a small favour, only if you could. They are sending my packet 4
to US address and most probably I may not receive it before I leave.
I will be leaving for interview on 8th Feb. Could you fax your
appointment letter only after blocking all your personal information?
Or can you scan it and post. If you think this is too much, just
ignore.

Do we need to carry 2002 tax returns?

My company will mail W2 form only on Jan 31st. I am leaving on 8th Feb
for CP. Can I just carry W2 form for the interview or do you think I
need to file tax returns before I leave. I think most of Feb guys are
in similar situation. What are you guys planning. Any thoughts?

My husband\'s interview is on Feb 6th. I have not received w-2 yet. My lawyer said they cannot ask for 2002 tax return since we have till April 15 to file, but he said to carry the most updated job letter and if possible W-2. I hope Chennai doesn\'t get picky and demand 2002 returns. WIll post message after his interview. See if you can ask anyone who had their interview in late Jan if they asked for 2002 returns.
 
IRS9003 YES, sailing permit NO, 2002 W2 NO

I am leaving on 31st Jan, and I havent yet received my W2 so, cannot take it.
 
u can still get sailing permit..

I went there .. and they didn\'t check w2 or last paystub of 2001 or tickets and issue me sailing permit.. by looking at their computer record

What do you ask for for sailing permit at IRS office? Is there a form, or just walk-in and say I need sailing permit.
