NSC telephone issue

dear guys,

called the NSC (800-375-5283) yesterday from my 'advanced' cordless in India. the voice menu guided me to enter the application receipt number. i was unable to do so, because the first three letters are alphabets. i tried many combinations, but in vain.

can anyone tell me how i can enter alphabets from a cordless fone during a conversation? or better, how do i reach a customer service representative at the NSC?

please reply asap, as i need to talk with them desperately.

ABC-2
DEF-3
GHI-4
JKL-5
MNO-6
PQRS-7
TUV-8
WXYZ-9

in ur case (nsc) it'll be 546+rest of the receipt number

however my employer told me next day that my visa was rejected on education grounds
