NSC Not Touching Concurrent 140 Cases

bharad,
There is a flaw in the USCIS logic. If USICS is going to adjudicate the 140 and 485 simultaneously, how can 140 case processing time be 8 mo and for 485 be 20 mo?
According to the Oh memo, 140 and 485 will be picked up simultaneously and adjudicated. So if they are filed simultaneosuly, they should be picked up simultaneously and the processing time should be same!
USCIS is behaving like kids who make excuses when the teacher asks them for their homework when they have not completed them. The excuses and xplanations to squirm out are illogical in both cases, atleast the kids offer very entertaining, at times, plausible excuses.

I was also wondering about that...If they do intend to process concurrently, then does that mean all concurrently filed 485s will also have procesing time of 8 months, so everyone with an RD of Jan 04 or earlier will have greencards by sept 04!

That's a great thought for the weekend, but doubt thats gonna happen..:)

Right now, I'd be very happy if NSC just ditched the FO memo and stuck to meeting dates in the backlog elimination strategy...
