NSC is processing according to PD

What was I thinking ? Aug 2006 that is NOT (Aug 2003)

Sorry about that. Thank you max2k1.

I can't believe that they don't have any 485s left to be processed pre Aug 2006.
The 485 processing dates posted on May 18th seems to be all nonsense and the only sensible explanation could be that the May 14th visa bulletin did not come into USCIS calculations.

I wouldn't surprised if they take back the 485 processing dates to 2003 or 2002 next month.

This is the time to initiate inquiries, if that triggers anything before they take back these dates, who knows.

Both PD and RD are important in 485 processing at different stages.

I would expect some retrogression when the 'huge' flood of new applications from june/july time frame start to get lined up in final approval queue may be from end of this year or begining of next year. So, at this point, folks with earlier PDs would definitely feel the benefit as one would expect.

I dont think the new applicants who are filing in Jun/July 2007 with PD 2001 or 2002 will benefit/get approved at the end of this year or beginning of next year. As of today the NSC is processing Aug 13 2006 files. Still there are approximately 9 months to go for NSC to touch the cases which will be filed in Jun 2007. And I am not positive that the RD will move one month in every months newsletter data update. After that all checks have to take place and god knows when those will be completed on time.

But I am positive in one thing, which is... retrogression again !!!

Remember that when NSC puts out its processing dates, they are talking about the date of the first "eligible" application that they can process.
This essentially removes all the PD retrogressed apps and (I think) all those apps stuck in name check/security check/whatever check.

So the dates really don't mean that much.

And with the movement of PDs, this date WILL move back in the next update for sure (As they would now have "older" eligible apps to process)

I too think the processing date would goto 2003 or even 2002.
From this forum I counted about 25 cases who filed in 2001-2004
and whose PD is current or gonna be current in June.

How many people visit here? 1% of the total people who are
waiting probably?

I believe both PD and RD are important

Usually the PD is just a prerequisite, the cases are processed based on 485 RD. However...

From what I read before, if the same batch of cases have been pre-adjudicated, they will get approved by the order of PD. (this is also confirmed by a user here whose congressman office called cis).

For the same batch of cases assigned to an officer, they will be processed at the discretion of that officer, and it’s more likely they are processed in the order of PD.

IIRC, filers at NSC having early/mid-2003 RD with non-substituted PD are the first ones to get hit by retrogression. 80%+ cases with earlier RD should be approved, the rest are probably still stuck in name check. Expect lot of cases unapproved cases from later half of 2003 getting approved for the rest of this year. Folks with 05 RD or later might want to lower their expectations a bit.

There are plenty of guys having PD mid 2002 thru Jun 2003

USCIS is processing application based on PD. Period. No discussion further!!

I have PD Feb 2003 & I-485 RD Oct 2003 and NOT APPROVED yet!!! Waiting for approval for more than 3 year & 9 months after filing I-485. So, RD moving is meaning less..let them move RD upto Jan 2008 in next month!!

I have 4 EAD's, got response from FBI that back ground check is done & all set...BUT NO APPROVAL...when I see such discussion I feel, its waste of time & ignore such threads...

I second it. Forget about 2002 there are plenty of 2001 filers who are waiting for their approvals.. PD is key for approval.
Thanks

PD is key for approval
Current PD is required for approval, but the order in which applications are pulled from queue is based on RD. This was the case pre-Dec 2004 retrogression. You can go back to the posts on this forum from that period for confirmation.
GCDumbo, there are several people including myself who have both PD and RD earlier than yours, my case was even pre-adjudicated. Reponded to employment RFE few months ago and also have current FP.

Why processing cant be done based on PD

PD for India:
EB2:01 APR 04
EB3:01 JUN 03
Since EB2 has a 10 month lead over EB2, there could be many EB2 cases with current PD that can't be approved before all EB3s are done, we know this not true because USCIS does not publish separate dates for EB1/2/3 for 485 cases. In fact, before you can even call up USCIS for enquiry, your RD has to be current before the published date, not matter when PD is.

There are going to be a few winners and losers in either case. Based on PD or RD. It does not matter how much we complain, they are not going to listen to us but rather stick their way to do things...

Good luck to all.

Yes. I am sure that there are lots of guys standing ahead of me in que...

Do you/anybody have any "ball park" count # of 2001 & 2002 waiters in que?
Wondering how many guys are standing ahead of me in que!!!

It seems about 80-90% cases from 02 and 01 are approved, the rest probably are name check pending cases, guessestimate is about 1000+ eligible cases has to approved before they start 03. One shouldn't be too surprised if the numbers become again unavailable by late fall.

Biggest concern for NSC-ers would be how fast VSC+CSC eat visa numbers in comparion to farmers.
We don't want EB3 PD going back to 02 in a few months.

That is true, we haven't seen any approvals from NSC for people who became current on June 1 :(
TSC did not do any preadjudicastion, hovever they approve much faster. NSC ... so disappointing ....

NSC farmers are processing neither as per PD nor as per RD, they are waiting for CSC/TSC to utilize all the available visa numbers so that they can go into hibernation when the visa's retrogress once again.

They will get fat bonus form the multiple ead's ap's that will be earned from the backlog candidates.

My friend got approval on June 1st, fileed in NSC, same as my PD.
