Ploy
This is a f@#$ed up ploy by NSC. They were approving a couple of cases with dates around where they say they were processing just so they look good and leaving the vast majority untouched.
That seems to have back-fired and a lot of pissed of people with Feb/Mar/Apr and earlier RDs calling in /escalating with senators/congressmen and raising havoc.
Also this may have something to do with the new Fax status inquiry service which you can use if your case is later than 30 days as per processing times. Maybe they\'re trying to protect the number from being overloaded (as though a fax status is going to make a big difference in our lives)
By moving the date back, they\'re absolving themselves from any furthur responsibility, but furthur frustrating us. We know for sure that a lot of April and May cases have been approved, but now if you call in they\'re going to say \'sorry-we\'re doing only March\'
(I actually did call on Monday this week and that\'s what I was told)
Bas####s, nearly 5 years of my life (and still counting) have been spent in this process. I have seen Labor RIR processing dates stagnate (took almost 2 years), I-140 processing dates stagnate(took 1 year for I-140 approval), I-485 priority dates retrogress (waited 14 months after I-140 approval to file I-485)and now 485 processing dates retrogress. All in this screwed up economy when I\'m trying to hang on to my job and hoping my employer survives the quarter.
Sorry, just venting. Can be therapeutic sometimes. I wonder when this will all end....
