NSC AUG 2000-RD Cases still NOT approved: Please update...

It\'s my understanding that there are still many July 2000 and August 2000 cases pending at NSC. I don\'t think speaking to a senator will help at this point. NSC\'s processing time is slowly creeping the wrong way: 11 months...12 months...13 months...maybe 18-20 months by spring (my estimate)

We are with NSC - a *SAD* but true fact.

Yes. I was told by a lady IIO that "my case was assigned" I will not make much on this news as we are not sure on this.

Noting from GajVar\'s post that a lady IIO told him that his case was assigned and later another IIO told him that it is pending, IIOs tell something to get you off the hook.
 
True. You won\'t believe the way things are moving

My case was "with an officer" for more than a month. Now I learn that I have an RFE. But it takes 2 weeks to "generate and mail" an RFE by NSC. God knows when I will get it and when finally I will be out of this nightmare !.

I see some approvals for people with RD & ND in Sept.
It is hard to understand how NSC works. We should just hang in there

such as when you got the information that you have an RFE and when you received it etc?.
 
update: spoke 10/09 to IIO

Spoke to IIO this morning and confirmed that case assigned to officer on sept 24. and have to wait till Oct end to hear something.

Good to hear that... Atleast one or two from AUG is slowly moving.
This gives hope for me and others.
 
rfe details

in my case, my lawyer received RFE on 21st Sept or 24th. later on I checked the AVM, which said it was sent on 19th sept. when I rcvd faxed copy from my lawyer, it was generated on 17th sept.

also in my case, i never receieved rfe directly. it was sent to lawyer and lawyer sent it to me.

the rfe was regding my wife\'s birth certificate and i havent replied yet, waiting for some papers from india
