NRA membership and Naturalization

I'm wondering whether being a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association)
will affect your Naturalization. Should one disclose that you are member of the
NRA on the N-400 application? If you dont disclose it how will the USCIS find out? It is a worry because there might be some anti-NRA people in the USCIS who could cause trouble.

You must disclose NRA membership. As long as you are not in the IRA you dont have to worry!!

Anti NRA sentiments are all over, you cant help it if you interviewer feels that "Guns kill people" while you feel "Guns dont kill people, people kill people". But you must declare any and all political, professional memberships - any orgn that is registered with local/federal government.

Just hope you have a Heston fan interviewing u!

I wouldn’t worry about being rejected because of anti-NRA sentiments. If they do give you trouble, contact the NRA, and they will probably be more than happy to help you out.

Bush supports NRA, Kerry supported NRA. You don't have to worry. Besides, you are just practicing your second amendment right.
Unless your interviewer is green. Just kidding. :D

Dont worry, most of the INS types sound like fascists, so I wouldnt be surprised if they are all card carrying NRA members. You will be in good company at the interview.
